How it runs

How a team event in Vienna runs for you

We talk little and get to work early. We barely interfere with your pieces, the result should come from your hand, not ours.

01You send the enquiry

Send us the number of people and your preferred date. A first quote needs no more than that.

02We settle the location

Because spraying in Vienna is only allowed on designated surfaces such as along the Donaukanal, we settle beforehand whether your date runs on canvas in your own space or whether a released surface is an option for you.

03We arrive with everything

Crew, paint, cans, protective material and gloves come with us. There is nothing on your shopping list.

04You split into teams

Large groups work in small teams in parallel, each at its own surface, instead of taking turns at the same wall.

05What stays with you

You take your canvases with you at the end, into the office or home. Whatever comes out of your date stays with you.

The decision you have to make

Action painting or graffiti?

If you take graffiti

On canvas a piece comes about that you take with you, and the date runs independently of weather and wall availability. If you want a wall instead, that works in Vienna on the released Wienerwand surfaces, and then you plan around the weather.

“28 colleagues aged between 20 and 60, and all of us completely clueless. In the end we were really proud of ourselves. As a keepsake, Luca gave us photos taken with the drone.”

“What surprised me was that you don't have to be an artist, because everyone gets individual attention and is encouraged to try things out. By the end we had created a great artwork and had a big grin on our faces.”
RiKe · Google review
“We had a team event and sprayed the whole wall with real joy. Huge fun and great guidance!”

“The crew was well prepared, everything ran smoothly, and in the end there was a piece the whole team was proud of.”

Where can you spray legally in Vienna?

Only on individual surfaces released by the city, the so-called Wienerwand, such as along the Donaukanal.

Spraying is not allowed everywhere in Vienna, only on individual surfaces released as part of the "Wienerwand" project, run by wienXtra on behalf of the City of Vienna. The marker is a dove sticker, and using these surfaces is free and needs no advance booking. Known surfaces sit along the Donaukanal: a ramp near the U4 station Schottenring by the Flex, the Roßauer Lände right at the U4 exit, and the Nußdorfer Lände in the 19th district. Outside those surfaces no tolerance applies, spraying there means spraying without permission. The city names over 20 such surfaces in total, more sit in the Esterhazypark, 6th district, and the Arne-Carlsson-Park, 9th district. For team events, we work in Vienna with the canvas version, same spraying technique, plannable regardless of weather or wall availability, brought into your own space or a hall of your choice. Tell us at the enquiry whether the wall option matters to you, and we check that for your date.

What do you do in Vienna in bad weather?

Bad weather does not cancel a date in Vienna, it only decides the format.

Bad weather does not cancel a date in Vienna, it only decides the format. Graffiti at a wall is always an outdoor format, because legal spraying is tied to fixed, open-air surfaces such as the Wienerwand sections along the Donaukanal. The same spraying technique works just as well on canvas indoors as outdoors, and action painting runs outdoors just as well as indoors. For a team event in Vienna that means: tell us at the enquiry whether your date needs to be weatherproof. If you need certainty, we pick the canvas or action painting version in your own space from the start, an office, a courtyard or a hall is enough. If the date can move, an outdoor version is also worth considering once the forecast is reliable. We bring materials, protective covers and guidance either way, whether the work happens indoors or outdoors. We decide on the right format together before the date, not on the day itself.
