Ruby Hotels painted with 40 people until 9:30 pm at Bahnwärter Thiel in Munich, until it was almost dark. The result was the wall lettering RubyVerse, preceded by a shared dinner at La Favela.
The brief
A team event that only starts late in the afternoon has a built-in risk: at some point it gets dark, and that's the end, no matter how far the piece has come. Ruby Hotels wanted a whole evening instead of an afternoon: dinner and painting as one connected flow rather than two separate programme items.
How it went
Before painting, there was a shared dinner at La Favela, arranged by Brain2Canvas. Afterwards, the group of 40 kept painting at Bahnwärter Thiel until 9:30 pm, until it was almost dark. The result was the lettering RubyVerse, and as our team puts it: a cool word. Dinner and painting ran that evening as one programme, not two separate dates.
The result
By the end, RubyVerse stood finished on the wall, painted in the last light of the evening. For the 40 people, the evening wasn't an afternoon programme with dinner tacked on. It was a continuous flow from the first meal to the last brushstroke.
An evening date can be planned as a continuous flow instead of two separate programme items: dinner first, then painting, in one arc. Setting the end time in advance gives you an evening with a clear finish.

Frequently asked questions about this project
Can a graffiti team event run into the evening?
Yes, a graffiti team event can be planned into dusk, as long as the end time is set in advance. Ruby Hotels painted with 40 people at Bahnwärter Thiel until 9:30 pm, until it was almost dark. What matters is that everyone knows in advance when it ends.
Is there a supporting programme like a shared dinner?
Yes, a shared dinner can be scheduled before painting, as it was for Ruby Hotels at the restaurant La Favela, arranged by Brain2Canvas. The group ate together before moving on to Bahnwärter Thiel, where they worked on the RubyVerse lettering until 9:30 pm.
