No experience needed, no excuses

What a graffiti workshop with us is

At the graffiti workshop in Munich your team stands in front of a wall, everyone gets a can in hand, and in the end there is a piece nobody had in mind before.

The workshop takes two to three hours depending on format and group size, even with three-digit groups, because everyone sprays at the same time. Nobody needs experience: whoever has never held a can starts with the grip and sprays the first area after twenty minutes.

Each small group first agrees on a word to spray, then it is outline, fill-in and background, almost only the index finger works. In the end the words of the small groups grow into one picture, like at Personio at the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall, where six teams sprayed six own words.

We bring the full kit: travel, material transport, paint, protective covers, supervision on site and the permit for legal walls in Munich. You only need a wall; if you have none, we find a legal surface in Munich. From €79 per person, net. The bigger the group, the lower the price per head.

PersonioBahnwaerter Thiel · 6 teams, 60 people

Personio brought six teams to the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall in December 2024. Each team brainstormed its own word and sprayed it itself, around 60 people on site. At that size half the group usually ends up watching; here every team had its own surface.

Where can you run a graffiti workshop in Munich?

A graffiti workshop in Munich needs no fixed venue, because we come to you with the wall, the paint and the crew. Two types of location have proven themselves, and we have run both. Legal walls first: EY brought 70 people in small groups to the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall in the Schlachthofviertel, and Personio put six teams with six own words on the same wall. Then courtyards and halls: T.con sprayed a 40 square metre piece in the Werksviertel, and GKM painted in the glass-roofed greenhouse of the Botanikum. For every legal outside wall we take care of the permit. What your location needs is manageable: enough space, a solid surface and power nearby. If you are unsure whether your space works, send us a photo with your enquiry.

How it runs

How a team event in Munich runs with us

We talk little and get to work quickly. We stay out of your pictures, because the result should come from your hands and not from ours. It should challenge your head, not rush anyone.

01You get in touch

Tell us how many you are and when it should happen. We reply within 24 hours with a concrete quote instead of a loop of questions.

02We check your wall

We go through surface, ground and power with you. For the legal outdoor wall we obtain the permit ourselves, you sign nothing. No wall yet? We find one in Munich.

03We arrive with everything

Crew, paint and cans come with us, plus covers for your surfaces and gloves for your hands. Nothing on your shopping list, nobody has to change clothes.

04You find your word

Before the date as a group or on site in small groups, both work; large groups do better deciding beforehand. At Personio at the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall that became six teams with six own words, LOVE and CURIOUS two of them.

05Can in hand

Outline, fill-in, background, almost only the index finger works. The guide shows grip, distance and pressure on a practice surface before anyone touches the real piece. After twenty minutes everyone sprays their first area.

06You split up, the pieces grow together

Large groups work in small teams in parallel, each with its own surface; in the end the words interlock into one picture. That is how nobody stood around waiting with 70 people at EY at the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall.

07What remains

The wall piece stays. Where possible we take a drone shot of the whole group in front of the finished piece at the end, for you to reuse digitally. What works for your date we tell you before, not after.

For 10 to 1,000 people

A group of ten is our starting size; smaller teams are just as welcome, with billing starting from ten. Upwards we have worked with up to a thousand. At EY at the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall it was 70, in small groups in parallel, each group with its own piece on the wall. From three-digit groups we talk beforehand about surface, time slot and crew.

Graffiti team building

What the group in Munich gets out of it

Graffiti in Munich as team building means: each small group owns one word, and only together do the words make the picture. Whoever draws the outline depends on whoever laid the fill; whoever sprays relies on whoever taped off. No circle games, no moderation cards. At the end there is a piece where everyone can point to their part.

Graffiti in Munich

Graffiti is part of Munich's streetscape, densest where we work. The walls at Bahnwaerter Thiel in the Schlachthofviertel change their face constantly, large rotating pieces right by the halls; EY and Personio sprayed there with us. In the Werksviertel by the Ostbahnhof, urban art hangs between the converted factory halls, and T.con sprayed a 40 square metre piece there. These surfaces exist independently of any workshop and show how established the scene is in the city.

Graffiti course or team event: what fits your company

Someone who wants to learn to spray usually pictures a classic graffiti course: several sessions that build spray technique step by step, one person at a time. Someone bringing together a department or an entire team needs a different format. In Munich, we run that format as a company team event instead of a solo graffiti course: at one session, the whole team sprays one shared wall picture together. If your company wants a graffiti workshop near your office or hotel in Munich, we bring the wall, paint, and supervision to your location. For a shorter session with a single department, we run the same format: two to three hours, everyone sprays at the same time, no experience needed.

What does a graffiti workshop as a team event in Munich cost?

A graffiti workshop as a team event in Munich starts at €79 per person net. The price falls with group size: small groups sit at €129 per person, large groups reach the entry price. Included are travel to Munich, material transport, paints and cans, protective material and supervision by our crew on site. For outside walls we also obtain the permit, at no extra charge. Three things move the price: how many people come, which format you choose and how demanding the location is. Small teams are welcome: billing starts from nine to ten people. The reason for the range is simple. Travel and setup happen once, and so does the crew, whatever the group size. The more people take part, the less each one carries of that. We answer your enquiry within 24 hours with a concrete quote.

Where can a team legally spray in Munich?

There is no single public wall in Munich that every team automatically ends up at, and we are not going to invent one. Instead we look at each enquiry on its own: which legal outdoor wall works for your date, a public wall, a rooftop, or a courtyard. EY and Personio went for the legal wall at Bahnwaerter Thiel, T.con for a surface in the Werksviertel, GKM for the greenhouse of the Botanikum. For companies that means nobody needs to know or apply for a Munich wall themselves, we handle the scouting and the permit. Just tell us your preferred area in your enquiry, and we suggest the right wall.

What happens if it rains in Munich?

Rain does not cancel a team event in Munich, it only decides the location. A graffiti workshop always happens outdoors on a wall, so here we work with a plan B: we switch to a covered surface, in Munich under a bridge for example, or we move the date if no covered wall fits. Action painting runs indoors as well, which is the weatherproof route for a fixed date. Cold is less of a problem than people think. A company team painted with its team in the glass-roofed greenhouse of the Botanikum, covered and bright, on a day that started as a summer party. You do not have to change clothes, and gloves are almost always enough. We carry ponchos in case it does rain. Tell us at the enquiry whether the date can move, and we plan the fallback from the start.

How does a team event with 100 or more people in Munich work?

Large groups run in small parallel groups with us, not in a queue. At EY, 70 people were active at the same time at the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall, split into small groups with their own surfaces. Personio ran six teams with six own words on the same wall. The ceiling is 1,000 people for graffiti and 500 for action painting. That the number holds has already been shown: at Helaba's Future Summit in Frankfurt, several hundred guests joined in a walk-in format. The time frame stays at two to three hours even for large groups, because the work runs in parallel. Each group brainstorms its own word and sprays letters at roughly two by two metres, and at the end the pieces work into one another. For planning that means one to two weeks lead time is enough even for three-digit groups. Adding people works at short notice, fewer people is harder.

Common questions about team events in Munich

How many people can take part?
For the graffiti workshop, 10 to 1,000 people, for action painting 15 to 500. Small teams are welcome: billing starts from 10 people for graffiti, from 15 for action painting. Upwards we solve size with parallel small groups, most recently in Munich with 70 people at EY at the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall. Give us the number as precisely as you can at the enquiry: adding people almost always works, fewer people than booked is harder. If someone falls ill, that is not a problem.
How long does a workshop take?
Two to three hours, depending on format and group size. That holds for large groups too, because everyone works in parallel. There are no long introductions, and you learn the technique at the wall. The block fits into a seminar day, as the afternoon part or as the close. If your time window is tight, say so at the enquiry and we tighten the schedule.
Do you need previous experience?
No. Everyone starts from scratch, nobody has done it before, and that is exactly what connects people. You spray letters at roughly two by two metres, several per group, working into one another. At that size even beginners see an effect immediately. Adults turn back into children fairly quickly and properly switch off. Anyone who thinks they cannot paint is the rule with us, not the exception.
What happens in bad weather?
The decision is not made on the morning of the event, it is made when you enquire. Tell us then whether the date can move. If it cannot, we plan from the start with a format that runs indoors and outdoors, and you have nothing to decide on the day. If it can move, we keep the outside wall open and come back to you once the forecast is firm. Either way, you are not the one calling us to ask whether it is happening.
What should I wear, does it get dirty?
Graffiti is cleaner than most people expect. Gloves are almost always enough, because spraying is nearly all the index finger. We carry ponchos, though they are not a must. At Personio the participants stood at the wall in rain ponchos, and at EY it was business clothes with a poncho. So you do not have to change clothes or bring anything. We also supply the protective material for your surfaces. That is why the format works in the middle of a working day: after the workshop you go back into your meeting without showering first.
Who takes care of permits?
We do. For legal walls we handle the permit completely: you sign nothing and arrange nothing. When we work on your site or in your office, we supply the protective material for floors and surfaces. You stay responsible for your own surfaces, which is why we go through the floor and how we cover it beforehand. On a call that takes a few minutes, and it saves the awkward conversation afterwards. For a legal outside wall in Munich you name your preferred date, we do the rest.
How does payment work?
The usual route, when procurement or accounting have a say, is an invoice to your accounts department. Prices on this page are net prices per person. If you cancel later than 30 days before the date, the full amount is due.
Do you run workshops in English?
Yes, very often, and at no extra charge. In large Munich teams the groups are frequently mixed, and we then run the whole workshop in English. Tell us at the enquiry whether you need German, English or both. Within a group we also switch when individual participants do not speak German. It does not change the price, and there is no language surcharge. The German version of this page is at /collections/team-events-hamburg.

What remains at the end

A picture where everyone in the team can point to their part.

The wall piece stays where it went up, and whoever passes by still sees the afternoon months later. Where possible we take a drone shot of the whole group in front of the finished piece for you to keep. At EY at the Bahnwaerter Thiel wall, 70 people worked in small groups, and the drone shot of the finished surface came afterwards. The photos hang longer than any presentation.
