A street-art tour is a team event where your team walks app-guided from wall to wall in Munich, solves a task about the piece at each stop and sets its own pace. Two to three hours, starting in the Werksviertel with a route that leads beyond it, self-guided by default, guided on request.
What the street-art tour is
Self-guided by default: your team splits into small groups, opens the app and walks the route on its own tempo. A guided version runs on request, for example for larger groups that want one shared pace.
The route starts in the Werksviertel and leads beyond it, past real, publicly visible works: the constantly changing pieces on the 130 metre Hall of Fame wall at Bahnwaerter Thiel, released by the city of Munich in 2022, and the urban art between the converted factory halls of the Werksviertel by the Ostbahnhof. Add the MUCA, Germany's first museum for urban art, and the walk has stops that exist independently of any tour.
At each stop, the app asks a question about what is actually in front of you: a colour, a technique, a detail easy to miss. Solve the task, and the app shows the next stop. There is no schedule and no clock, the point is looking closely.
Duration is two to three hours and can run shorter if your schedule needs it. Group size runs from 3 to 1,000 people, split into small walking groups. TUI Cruises has already run the format with us. From €35 per person net, the larger the group, the lower the price per head.

The tour works with real walls in Munich: murals across whole facades, paste-ups on corners, tags on junction boxes. The densest surface is the Hall of Fame at Bahnwaerter Thiel; in 2022 the city of Munich released a 130 metre wall there that has been repainted ever since.

Six real Munich dates, with location, size, and the logistics behind them.
GKM moved their summer day to the Botanikum, into the large greenhouse with its grass floor. The work happened barefoot, with action painting, graffiti and abstract painting running side by side. What came out of it were individual graffiti pieces at 50×70 and five larger works, one per department. Those pieces hang in the office today as decoration.
At Cloudflare, the team sprayed the legal wall at Bahnwärter Thiel on a summer day while a drone circled over the forecourt. When the last can went down, the date tipped from work into celebration: a breakdance performance ran in front of the finished graffiti.
At CRX Markets, the team members designed the letters of the lettering one by one, each in their own handwriting. Out of many single parts came one word on the wall at Bahnwärter Thiel. The artwork can be reused digitally, for instance in an email signature.
In December 2024, Personio split roughly 60 people into six teams at Bahnwärter Thiel. Each team brainstormed its own word and sprayed it themselves, so all six could work the wall at once instead of standing around while one group painted.
Ruby Hotels turned an evening into one continuous plan: dinner at La Favela first, then 40 people kept painting at Bahnwärter Thiel until 9:30pm, almost into the dark. What went up on the wall was the lettering RubyVerse.
In May 2023, T.con turned a single lunch break in the Werksviertel into a 40-square-metre communal graffiti piece, the whole group working one surface instead of splitting into small formats. Each person also took home a small painted paper.
No lower group limit and no upper limit up to 1,000 people, the app carries the same route regardless of group size. Up to 30 days before the date you cancel free of charge, after that the full sum falls due.
How a street-art tour in Munich runs
Two to three hours, self-guided by default. Five steps get your team from the start to the finished tour.
At the start the Urban Passport app shows your team where to go first. Each team puts together which stops belong to the route, so no two tours look alike.
Your team walks to the wall. The piece is really there in the city, not a picture of it. How fast you walk is up to you.
At the stop your team solves a task about the piece. That is the difference to a stroll: you look closely instead of just listening.
Then the app shows the next stop. You set the pace in between, and where you linger and where you move on.
A tour usually takes two to three hours and can run shorter if your group walks briskly. Self-guided is the standard, a guided version is available on request.

What stays once the tour is over
The pictures were always there. After the tour you notice them on the way back to the station, on walls you walked past for years. You learn where to look: up at firewalls, round the back, on roller doors and junction boxes. The city hangs its things where nobody expects a frame. And a museum closes at six, your city does not.

Ready-made route or your own route
In fifteen cities a ready-made route is online, in Munich it starts in the Werksviertel and leads beyond it. Everywhere else you build the route yourselves, in a village as much as a metropolis. And if it rains? The walls are outdoors anyway: because your group sets its own pace you can shelter briefly and carry on when it suits. If you walk the ready Munich route
The Munich route starts in the Werksviertel and leads past real, publicly visible works. The host invites the teams, the tour loads under its code into the Urban Passport app, nobody needs an account. We agree the starting point when you book.
If you build your own route
A tour you build yourselves is not tied to a city. You place the stops where your team actually is: in the host login you set the stops and write your own questions, several teams can each build their own. We give you a short guide on how to set a good stop.
If you would rather spray than walk, the graffiti workshop in Munich is the one; both together cost the workshop tier plus €35 per person net.

Tell us the number, we tell you how many routes it sensibly splits into. Three or four people walk just like a thousand, split into small groups. The price per head drops with each tier from €35; from 251 people we prepare an individual quote instead of a list price.

How you pay
There are two routes: book directly in the shop, or an invoice to your accounts department. In both cases payment falls due before the date, and that is the rule with us.
If something gets in the way
Up to 30 days before you cancel free of charge, after that the full sum falls due. If it rains in Munich, the route stays outdoors and you simply shelter briefly and continue.
What is already included
The app licence, the route and travel to Munich sit inside the price. Not included is anything around the location itself, that you book separately.
What does the street-art tour cost?
From €35 per person net, and larger groups pay less: up to 20 people €35, from 176 people €25.
The price per head falls as the group grows. Groups of 3 to 20 pay €35 per person net, 21 to 50 pay €32, 51 to 100 pay €30, 101 to 175 pay €27, 176 to 250 pay €25, and from 251 we send an individual quote. There is no lower group limit and no upper limit up to 1,000 people, the app carries the same route regardless of group size. Combined with the graffiti workshop, the tour costs the workshop staffel price plus €35 per person net. All figures are net, plus 19% VAT. Up to 30 days before the date you cancel free of charge, after that the full sum falls due. We answer your enquiry within 24 hours with a concrete quote.
