Team spread across three cities? Frankfurt is the shortest flight or train for everyone. Action painting with no language barrier, from €79 pp net.
Three locations, one date, one airport. When your colleagues fly in from Munich, Warsaw, and London, Frankfurt is rarely chosen out of fondness. It's chosen because every connection is short. Frankfurt am Main is one of Europe's largest airports, plus an ICE hub and a motorway junction: whoever needs to bring a team together from several cities or countries for one afternoon works out travel time first, programme second.
The problem starts after that. A marathon of meetings puts people at the same table, but not on the same page — a pattern many international teams already know from the office. A team flying in from four countries wants to do something on that one shared day that isn't just more talking, and that doesn't fall apart when a third of the room doesn't speak German.
That's exactly where action painting works as a format: you get a clear frame, paint, tools, and a surface — the rest is up to your team. Instruction runs through showing and doing, not through a lecture half the room would need translated. A team painting a canvas together doesn't need to agree on a shared language first.
What the format does for a team split across locations
- No prior knowledge, no prep needed. Nobody has to learn or bring anything beforehand — useful when part of the room is coming straight from the airport.
- Runs in English at no extra cost. Facilitation happens in German or English, including in mixed groups. A team with colleagues from several countries doesn't need a special arrangement for that.
- We come to your location. Setup happens at your company, at your event venue, or on a surface in Frankfurt and the surrounding area. You don't need to find another spot for everyone — the format slots into the place you've already booked for the day, such as a hotel with a conference room near the airport.
- Scaled for 15 to 500 people. Whether it's a core team or several departments flying in together: the format scales through parallel small groups, without anyone left just watching.
- A two-to-three-hour window. Enough time for a shared result, short enough to fit alongside travel and the return flight in a single day.
- A result that travels with you. At the end there's a piece the group made together. For a team that otherwise only sees each other on video calls, that leaves more behind than the memory of one more meeting.
Who's already done this
The format isn't tailored to one industry or one language. Duolingo, eBay, Toyota, and wefox have all run action painting events with us, each with their own international team structures. That's not a Frankfurt-specific proof point, but it does suggest the format holds up even when a group doesn't come from a single office.
What it costs
From €79 per person net, scaled by group size. Smaller groups pay more per head, larger groups less, plus 19% VAT for B2B bookings. Booking runs via a quote based on headcount, preferred date, and location; the cancellation rule is the same company-wide: free up to 30 days before the date, full price after that.
Frequently asked questions
Does our international team need a shared language? No. Facilitation runs in German or English at no extra cost, even in mixed groups.
Does the venue have to be right at Frankfurt Airport? No. We come to any location in Frankfurt and the surrounding area. Often that's a hotel or event space the company has already booked for the day, so travel stays short for everyone.
From how many people is the format bookable? From 15 people, scaling upward through parallel small teams to 500.
How long does a session take? Two to three hours, fitted around your schedule between arrival and return flight.
Can we cancel on short notice if flights shift? Free up to 30 days before the date, full price applies after that — regardless of the reason.

“We had a team event and sprayed the wall at Bahnwärter Thiel all over, with great joy. Huge fun and great instruction!”
“[…] 28 colleagues aged between 20 and 60, and all of us completely clueless. […] In the end we were really proud of ourselves. […] As a keepsake, Luca gave us photos taken with the drone.”
“[…] What surprised me was that you don't have to be an artist, because everyone gets individual attention and is encouraged to try things out. […] By the end we had created a great artwork and had a big grin on our faces.”
