Indoor team event Berlin: a hall instead of umbrellas

Blurred photo of an indoor event hall in Berlin with the words: Your hall is enough.

Indoor team event Berlin for 10 to 500 people: action painting or graffiti in a hall at Wellenwerk. From €79 net pp, book on enquiry.

Rain in November, a 60-person team outing, no plan B — that's the moment "we only paint outside on the wall anyway" turns into a problem. Berlin has no single fixed outdoor surface a team event can be permanently booked onto, but several legal spots (Wellenwerk, Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain on Warschauer Straße) — which is exactly why the indoor question is worth asking before the forecast, not after. For a full overview of formats, see all team events in Berlin.

The short answer: yes, action painting and graffiti in Berlin work entirely indoors too.

The hall at Wellenwerk (Berlin-Lichtenberg)

Wellenwerk is our active partner venue for team events in Berlin, with its own hall. If you'd rather book a location than organise one, this is it — including the bus surface for anyone who'd rather paint a whole vehicle than a canvas.

Bigger group, your own event space

For teams with their own rented event space or conference hall, the same principle applies: easels, paint, and instruction adapt to the space, not the other way round. Whether a specific venue works for setup and floor protection, we clarify with you in the enquiry — that's not something we can promise blanket without seeing the site, which is why the checklist below comes first in every planning conversation.

What's different indoors versus outdoors

  1. Different materials, not a spray can. Indoors we use water-based paints, acrylics, brushes, rollers, and markers instead of spray cans — smell and ventilation are a real issue indoors, not outdoors. That switch from can to brush is exactly why outdoor sprayed stencils and graffiti can be combined with an indoor joint artwork, without a room ever smelling of paint.
  2. The surface gets sized to fit. Instead of one continuous outdoor wall, each small group gets its own canvas or easel, in any number side by side — a single wall is never the bottleneck.
  3. No weather risk, no rain date. The programme point is as reliable as a conference room slot.

Does your space work? The quick checklist before you enquire

If you'd rather bring your own rented event space than book the Wellenwerk hall, clear four points first and the enquiry runs without follow-up questions:

- Floor protection possible? Paint goes on tarp or drop cloth, not the carpet — a room with a hard floor, or the willingness to cover it briefly, is enough.

- Enough standing room per small group? Rule of thumb: one easel plus moving space per 3 to 4 people.

- Tables or walls to lean against? Handy for canvas formats, but not a must — easels work freestanding.

- Access for materials? A lift or ground-level access saves time on setup and teardown, especially for larger groups.

Missing one of these isn't a dealbreaker, it's a question we clarify beforehand — so the enquiry is worth sending even if your own room has an unusual layout.

From what group size does this pay off

Price per person drops with group size: the lowest rate of €79 net per person applies from 251 participants, smaller groups pay more per head. For a team event with 10 to 30 people, that means: the price sits above the "from €79" marketing figure — asking about the ladder pays off before the offer, not after. That the ladder reaches this far up at all shows: large formats are lived practice, not the exception. Scaling doesn't run through one big element, but through the split into small groups and the corresponding number of easels or canvases — the principle stays the same, only its repetition grows.

What sets Berlin's indoor offer apart from escape rooms and game shows

Search "indoor team event Berlin" and you often land first on escape rooms or game-show concepts with a fixed room and a fixed player count (usually up to 48 people). The difference here: there's no single-room capacity limit, because the format itself grows with you — from a conference room to a hall, with the same material principle, not a hard built-in ceiling. And at the end there's no high score, just a piece the group painted together that goes back to the office.

FAQ

Is graffiti indoors even allowed, without it smelling of spray fumes?

Yes, because different materials are used indoors than on the outdoor wall — brush and roller instead of spray can solve exactly that smell problem.

Do we need our own venue, or is there a fixed address?

The Wellenwerk hall is the fixed partner venue. If you bring your own rented event space, we check floor protection and standing room together in the enquiry — we help find the right venue with you.

How big can the group be for an indoor format?

10 to 500 people, scalable upward across several rooms or a larger hall.

What happens to the finished pieces?

They go with you — as a keepsake for the office or home, at no extra cost.

Can we book last-minute if the weather only turns the day before?

It's safest to plan indoor from the start rather than as a fallback — dates and capacity are coordinated individually, there's no blanket fixed deadline.

“We had a team event and sprayed the wall at Bahnwärter Thiel all over, with great joy. Huge fun and great instruction!”

“[…] 28 colleagues aged between 20 and 60, and all of us completely clueless. […] In the end we were really proud of ourselves. […] As a keepsake, Luca gave us photos taken with the drone.”
Tordis Lehmann
“[…] What surprised me was that you don't have to be an artist, because everyone gets individual attention and is encouraged to try things out. […] By the end we had created a great artwork and had a big grin on our faces.”
