At the graffiti workshop in Hamburg your team stands in front of a wall, everyone gets a can in hand, and in the end there is a piece nobody had in mind before.
The workshop takes two to three hours depending on format and group size, even with three-digit groups, because everyone sprays at the same time. Nobody needs experience: whoever has never held a can starts with the grip and sprays the first area after twenty minutes.
Each small group first agrees on a word to spray, then it is outline, fill-in and background, almost only the index finger works. In the end the words of the small groups grow into one picture, like at a larger date with around 120 people on a rooftop terrace by the main station.
We bring the full kit: travel, material transport, paint, protective covers, supervision on site and the permit for legal walls in Hamburg. You only need a wall; if you have none, we find a legal surface in Hamburg. From €79 per person, net. The bigger the group, the lower the price per head.

Four real Hamburg dates and one graffiti workshop on a long legal wall, with location, size and the logistics behind them.
Toyota invited influencers and staff into a photo studio in Ottensen. The work happened indoors on canvases, an action painting date with spray cans. For the graffiti workshop at the wall we go outside, and we find the surface with you.
120 people in the Jupiter, the former Karstadt Sport department store right by Hamburg main station. The work ran in small groups on the roof terrace, and the teams took their pieces home. 120 people is the test of whether anyone at our events stands around waiting. Nobody stood around.
At the end of a seminar day the team stood on the rooftop terrace in HafenCity in front of a stretched banner. Three groups, three words, TAKE OFF and LEAP two of them. Where there is no wall, we stretch a surface, right in the city.
The whole group spread out along the full length of the wall and sprayed at the same time, each letter of the shared word by a different part of the team. With enough wall metres nobody waits: background, fill-in and outline run in parallel.
The event took place at the MS Bleichen, an old museum ship in Hamburg's museum harbour. The painting happened on the pier in front of it, with the graffiti wall and the action painting setup standing next to each other before the old loading doors. Old harbour as a backdrop, work in small groups side by side.

How a team event in Hamburg runs with us
We talk little and get to work quickly. We stay out of your pictures, because the result should come from your hands and not from ours. It should challenge your head, not rush anyone.
Tell us how many you are and when it should happen. We reply within 24 hours with a concrete quote instead of a loop of questions.
We go through surface, ground and power with you. For the legal outdoor wall we obtain the permit ourselves, you sign nothing. No wall yet? We find one in Hamburg.
Crew, paint and cans come with us, plus covers for your surfaces and gloves for your hands. Nothing on your shopping list, nobody has to change clothes.
Before the date as a group or on site in small groups, both work; large groups do better deciding beforehand. At EY-Parthenon on a rooftop terrace in HafenCity that became three groups with three words, TAKE OFF and LEAP two of them.
Outline, fill-in, background, almost only the index finger works. The guide shows grip, distance and pressure on a practice surface before anyone touches the real piece. After twenty minutes everyone sprays their first area.
Large groups work in small teams in parallel, each with its own surface; in the end the words interlock into one picture. That is how nobody stood around waiting with 120 people at the Jupiter by the main station.
The wall piece stays. Where possible we take a drone shot of the whole group in front of the finished piece at the end, for you to reuse digitally. What works for your date we tell you before, not after.
For 10 to 1,000 people
A group of ten is our starting size; smaller teams are just as welcome, with billing starting from ten. Upwards we have worked with up to a thousand. At Rapid Data in the Jupiter by the main station it was 120, in small groups in parallel, each team with its own piece to take home. From three-digit groups we talk beforehand about surface, time slot and crew.

Hamburg counts 18 legal graffiti walls across the city, listed by district on legal-walls.net. The Sternschanze station tunnel became an official Hall of Fame in September 2023, one continuous surface for large, changing pieces close to the subway entrance. In the Schanzenviertel, the Fischers Park bunker offers another legal surface, part of it requiring prior permission. These walls exist independently of any workshop and show how established graffiti culture is in the city, from the Schanze to St. Pauli and Ottensen.

Where can a team legally spray in Hamburg?
There is no single public wall in Hamburg that every team automatically ends up at, and we are not going to invent one. Instead we look at each enquiry on its own: which legal outdoor wall works for your date, a public wall, a rooftop, or a courtyard. Rapid Data went for the roof terrace of the Jupiter next to the main station, EY-Parthenon for a rooftop in HafenCity, HANSAINVEST for the pier by the MS Bleichen. For companies that means nobody needs to know or apply for a Hamburg wall themselves, we handle the scouting and the permit. Just tell us your preferred area in your enquiry, and we suggest the right wall.
What happens if it rains in Hamburg?
Rain does not cancel a team event in Hamburg, it only decides the location. A graffiti workshop always happens outdoors on a wall, so here we work with a plan B: we switch to a covered surface, in Hamburg under a bridge for example, or we move the date if no covered wall fits. Action painting runs indoors as well, which is the weatherproof route for a fixed date. Cold is less of a problem than people think. A company team did action painting with 80 people in the Cruise Terminal in HafenCity, covered and with a view of the Elbe, in the cold season. You do not have to change clothes, and gloves are almost always enough. We carry ponchos in case it does rain. Tell us at the enquiry whether the date can move, and we plan the fallback from the start.
How does a team event with 100 or more people in Hamburg work?
Large groups run in small parallel groups with us, not in a queue. At Rapid Data, 120 people were active at the same time in the Jupiter by Hamburg main station, split into small teams with their own surfaces. In HafenCity we looked after 80 people in the Cruise Terminal. The ceiling is 1,000 people for graffiti and 500 for action painting. That the number holds has already been shown outside Hamburg: for Helaba we ran a workshop with 1,000 people. The time frame stays at two to three hours even for large groups, because the work runs in parallel. Each group brainstorms its own word and sprays letters at roughly two by two metres, and at the end the pieces work into one another. For planning that means one to two weeks lead time is enough even for three-digit groups. Adding people works at short notice, fewer people is harder.
