The craft
Behind the free painting sits material behaviour that decides the result. Three rules make sure a picture stands at the end instead of a brown blotch:
Wax does not take paint. Anyone who works with a wax crayon before the paint goes on keeps that area free. No matter how many layers come on top later, the spot stays clear. Patterns appear this way without anyone needing to be able to paint.
Spray paint cracks on fresh acrylic. If the acrylic layer underneath has not fully cured, spraying over it creates a craquelé effect: fine cracks that make the picture look years old. Anyone who has seen it once never paints without this trick again.
Paint dosing is the real craft. Too much paint at once runs together and turns dark green to brown: the moment a picture becomes a mess of colour. The guide steps in right before that happens, not after.
These three rules are why guided does not mean restricted with us. The guide takes care of the material, you take care of the decisions. And in December that means: paint becomes a picture that still hangs in the office in January, not a brown blur in the memory.
Graffiti workshop as a Christmas party
Berlin has no single wall for this, it has several: the panels in Kreuzberg, the wall down by the bridge at Warschauer Straße in Friedrichshain, and the Wellenwerk hall in Lichtenberg, where a whole bus becomes the surface and the roof keeps December out. Your team learns can control in small groups, then every group takes its own section, and at the end the sections join into one piece.
Nobody needs experience: a guide covers grip, distance and line first, then each small group takes its own part of the wall. From 10 people up to 1,000, larger parties simply get more wall and more stations. Bring did exactly this at the Wellenwerk: 25 people on a whole bus, each group with its own section of the side. And if December weather turns nasty, the graffiti workshop stays outside at the wall; if you'd rather be indoors, you switch to action painting on canvas.
At a legal wall the piece stays in the city until someone paints over it; at the Wellenwerk the sprayed bus stands as the result. What goes home: the drone shot in front of your wall where the location allows it, and photos of every section.

Real company dates from Berlin, from the office to the Wellenwerk hall to a legal wall. Each group works at its own surface, and that is what it looks like as a Christmas party too.
DeepL booked a street art workshop right in its Berlin office: tables, sheets, markers and cans, no venue to rent. The format that fits a December date best, because nobody has to go anywhere.
Lingoda ran its company party at the Wellenwerk with action painting and graffiti stations side by side, open bar and music. Guests came and went between the stations, the way a party works.
Samsung used the Wellenwerk for a trade-fair event with many sellers on site; a tent kept the weather off the surface, and a large, detailed mural with the lettering grew over the day.
As the cultural programme of its annual conference, the Milchindustrie-Verband picked up the cans one afternoon at the Wellenwerk. Motto Milk Buzz, Luca ran it himself, and the review afterwards spoke of technique, feeling and a lot of good mood.
Bring painted a whole bus at the Wellenwerk with 25 people and took small individual pieces home on top. The customer cut its own video from the day for social media.
Travel and material transport to Berlin and the surrounding area sit inside the price per person, so nothing is added later. Up to 30 days before the date you cancel free of charge, after that the full sum falls due.
How the workshop part of your Christmas party runs
We don't talk much, we get to work early. We barely interfere with your pictures, the result should come from your hand, not ours.
A session runs two to three hours, and the order makes the difference: if everyone paints at once, the colours run into each other and turn brown. That is why your piece grows in layers, with short breaks in between. What that means for your group is laid out step by step below.
If you do not have a location yet, we suggest a surface we have worked on before. The booking still stays with you, and the same goes for side programme and drinks. We come to your own rooms as soon as you provide the surface.
On site our team covers the area with protective material, and we take liability for it. If a spot gets messy, we leave that area out. No need to change clothes: gloves and a poncho are enough.
The guide first explains the materials: spray paint, wax crayon, acrylic, lacquer. Spray paint cracks open on acrylic that's still wet, which creates a crackle effect. That's why the piece ends up layer on layer.
A guide splits the group into small units, one guide per 50 participants. Whoever is not at the canvas takes on a small two-by-two task, and the guide decides who paints when.
The piece grows in layers that need to dry before the next colour goes on: one group paints, waits, then the next one follows. The drying time in between is part of the technique, not idle time.
Whether everyone takes home their own piece or you work on one shared piece is your call when booking. With a shared piece, the layers build directly on top of each other.
At the end we clean up and the surface goes back the way it was. Whatever was created belongs to you from that moment on; nothing is shipped afterwards. You take your pieces with you right away.

What remains at the end
Both options work. If everyone takes something home, you do not know beforehand which piece you get. At some dates the finished pictures are handed out at random after painting, including the white edge left by the masking tape, which works like a mount. The element of chance is part of the fun then.
If you would rather have one shared work, you get a large-format piece for the reception or the office. As a suggestion: three single pieces framed side by side carry more than one picture alone. That is an idea, not a promise of service: framing and hanging are not something we do.
What remains is yours: the piece, the photo, the story behind it, and a team that is still talking about it in January.
Making it feel like Christmas
The workshop is the programme, the evening around it makes it a Christmas party. Our route starts at the wall or in the Wellenwerk hall and ends at a Christmas market nearby, and we happily stand by that: urban, short distances, no coach transfer.
Here's how it looks: afternoon at a legal wall in Kreuzberg or Friedrichshain, or in the Wellenwerk hall in Lichtenberg, cans from us, mulled wine or punch you bring yourselves, thermos in hand at the wall if you like. Once the piece is done, you head on to a Christmas market nearby; which one fits your date and your route, we tell you at the enquiry. Workshop, market, dinner, one evening, everything close together.
And if you're lucky, it snows, a spray wall in falling snow is the picture the office quotes for years, and if the weather plays along we'll get the drone up for the shot. Best memories to take into the holidays, right before everyone heads home to family.
And the piece you made? It goes home. A canvas from the Christmas party hangs in the office in January, or becomes the one Christmas present from the team that nobody else has.
Indoors or outdoors
Whether you paint indoors or outdoors, you decide before the date based on space, weather and preferred location, and the two options differ in materials, surface and what happens to the pieces at the end.
If you paint indoors
The weather forecast plays no part in choosing the date, the room sets the frame. Indoors we usually work with acrylic; lacquer and spray cans are possible as well, but only in large, open or well-ventilated rooms. That stays the exception, not a general rule for every indoor space.
You paint on canvas and paper. We cover the floor and are liable for the protection we provide; the choice of tools follows the risk of mess. Accessibility depends on the chosen space, not on the format. Let us know and we look for an accessible room. The canvases are yours and go home with you, we do not frame or deliver them later.
If you paint outdoors
The date is planned around the weather forecast, because lacquer is used outdoors as well and the surface is in the open. Outdoors, acrylic and lacquer are the standard with no conditions on the space. On legal outdoor walls we cover up and are liable for the protection, and here too the choice of tools follows the mess risk of the surface.
Outdoors we work at Berlin's legal walls in Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, and we obtain the permit ourselves. A mural on a legal wall stays; a piece on a mobile wall at your site goes with you. Under a roof, the Wellenwerk hall in Lichtenberg takes a whole bus.
If you need a fixed date regardless of the weather and bring your own room, indoor is the better choice: acrylic is always available, lacquer and spray cans only in large, well-ventilated rooms. If you want the full range of materials or a mural on a legal outdoor surface, outdoor suits you better, but you then plan the date around the forecast and clarify the surface in advance. How you pay
There are two routes: book directly in the shop, or an invoice to your accounts department. In both cases payment falls due before the date, and that is the rule with us.
If something gets in the way
Up to 30 days before you cancel free of charge, after that the full sum falls due. The graffiti workshop runs outdoors in rain, cold and snow too, we bring protective clothing; only if the weather makes it unreasonable do we offer a replacement date or a covered surface, at no extra charge. Action painting runs in your rooms regardless of the weather.
