At Ifco, everyone goes home with their own piece of the wall

In Munich's Werksviertel, Ifco combined two formats in one date: Action Painting with pierced cans and a shared graffiti word that the whole group executed. At the end, each person took home their own randomly drawn piece.

The brief

A combined format of Action Painting and graffiti needs two compatible building blocks: something for the whole group together and something that ends up in your own hands. Ifco solved that in Munich's Werksviertel with pierced cans for the small-scale work and a free wall for the shared word.

How it went

Our team describes the flow like this: at Ifco we definitely pierced some cans, Action Painting style, genuinely funny. The small pictures had been taped off beforehand with masking tape, like a passe-partout. In parallel, the group of around 15 to 20 people worked together on a large word on the wall.

The result

After the tape came off, each person had their own cleanly framed picture ready, and which piece you ended up with was left to chance. On top came the shared wall word as a second, shared result. A sunny day with a good mood, as our team puts it.

Two formats in one date don't need double the time when they complement each other: small-scale work with an instant result alongside a shared piece for everyone. The randomness in who takes home which piece is a deliberate part of the concept, not a side effect.
