EY brings 70 people to the wall at Bahnwärter Thiel in small groups

  • Munich, Bahnwärter Thiel
  • Graffiti workshop
  • 70 people

EY brought 70 participants to the wall at Bahnwärter Thiel in Munich. In several small groups, each team first brainstormed its own result and then put it up themselves, followed by a shared meal at La Favela.

The brief

With 70 participants, a single shared motif barely works without a large part of the group just watching. For this size, EY needed a format that splits the group without losing the shared frame, with a clear close afterwards. For your planning, that means: enough wall space for several teams at once, without one group having to wait for the next.

How it went

The 70 participants worked in several small groups at the wall at Bahnwärter Thiel. Each group first brainstormed its own result and then put it up themselves, independently of the other teams. After the graffiti workshop, everyone moved on together to La Favela, a restaurant right by Bahnwärter Thiel, for food and drinks.

The result

By the end, several independent graffiti results stood on the same wall, each grown out of its own brainstorm. The workshop didn't end with the last spray — it ended with a shared meal that connected directly to the location.

From around 70 participants, splitting into small groups with their own brainstorm pays off: each group gets a result it worked out for itself. A supporting programme right afterwards, like a shared meal, gives the date a clear close instead of an open end.

Frequently asked questions about this project

Can a graffiti workshop run in several small groups, each with its own brainstorm?

Yes, the group can be split into several small groups, each first brainstorming its own result and then executing it themselves. At EY, this produced several independent graffiti results on the wall at Bahnwärter Thiel from 70 participants, instead of a single motif for everyone.

Is there a shared supporting programme after the workshop?

Yes, a restaurant near the wall can follow directly. After the graffiti workshop at Bahnwärter Thiel, EY moved on together to La Favela for food and drinks. That gives the date a proper close instead of just ending with the last spray.
